26th ANNUAL HOLY CONVOCATION | APRIL 12 – 15, 2023

WORKSHOP SESSIONS

We are so excited about the 2023 Florida Atlantic Diocese Holy Convocation! This year we have several workshops, with excellent facilitators, scheduled to help our attendees with various topics and subjects.

Our desire is to help enrich the members of the Florida Atlantic Diocese organization and to further the ministry of salvation.

See below to see the classes we are offering during the convocation.

2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to sew theyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The purpose of this workshop is to explore effective personal and collective Bible Study techniques and strengthen our application of the Word of God.

In Matthew 4:19, Jesus said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” The Scripture then records Peter and Andrew dropping their nets and following Jesus. The purpose of the this workshop is twofold: 1) to explore what it means to be a true disciple of Jesus; and 2) to share traditional and contemporary discipleship pathways.

Facilitated by Deacon Dr. Anthony V. Mack.
Psalm 22:30 (NIV) says, “Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.”

The purpose of this workshop is to contend with the intergenerational makeup of our congregations and posit how to engage all members, especially Millennials and young adults, in the work of the ministry.

Facilitated by Rev. McLean Cromer
In John 4:23, Jesus said, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”

The target audience of this workshop includes ministers of music; praise team and choir members; musicians, and those who consider themselves true worshippers.

The purpose of this workshop is twofold: 1) to explore how to set an atmosphere for praise and worship and 2) gain practical techniques of leading a congregation into praise and worship.

Facilitated by Min. Latrice Glenn-Golding & Bro. Doug Major
